Clash of interests: PM’s support for Seraikistan criticised
Bahawalpur National Awami Party has condemned PM Gillani’s support for the establishment of a seraiki province.

Bahawalpur National Awami Party has condemned Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani’s support for the establishment of a seraiki province in south Punjab. In a statement issued on Friday BNAP leaders Malik Qasim Khokhar, Qari Monis Baloch and Akram Ansari said the people of Bahawulpur would not accept any compromise on their stance on the restoration of the provincial status for Bahawalpur. The BNAP leaders urged the people to attend a protest demonstration the party is organising on February 13 to press for the demand.
