No respite: Inflationary pressure eases nominally
Average prices of 15 items registered a decrease, prices of 19 items increased.
ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the lowest income groups registered a nominal decrease of 0.04 per cent over the week ended February 09, according to provisional figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The combined SPI for all income groups decreased by a marginal 0.06 per cent. Compared to last year’s figures for the same week, the combined SPI is inflated by 8.23 per cent. During the week under review, average prices of 15 items registered a decrease, prices of 19 items increased, while the remaining 19 items had their prices unchanged.
