Football: Punjab, Sindh cruise to U14 semis

Punjab defeated Azad Jammu and Kashmir 3-0 in the first quarter-final of the National Under-14 Football Championship held at the Jinnah Football Stadium, Islamabad. According to information provided by the Pakistan Football Federation, Punjab striker Yasir opened the scoring on 43 minutes. Farrukh Siraj added a second goal on 52 minutes, while midfielder Yameen’s 62nd-minute goal put the result beyond doubt. Meanwhile, in the second quarter-final, Sindh posted a 2-0 win over Karachi Zone. Muneer Munna put Sindh ahead with a goal on 13 minutes, while Shahzaib added a second 26 minutes into the match to secure the team’s progress to the last-four.
