Formula One: Schumacher fastest on day 2 of testing

JEREZ: Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher set the fastest time on the second day of pre-season testing in Jerez. The German clocked in a time of one minute and 18.561 seconds to top the charts ahead of Mark Webber in the 2012 Red Bull, who finished second with a time of one minute and 19.184 seconds. Schumacher’s speed came as no surprise as his Mercedes W02 had the benefit or an exhaust-blown diffuser and a whole year of development, whereas the 2012 designs are still in their infancy.
