Cotton Crop: Supply of bales registers substantial increase
Cotton bale supply showed a year-on-year increase of 22.61 per cent.
ISLAMABAD:
Around 13,615,327 bales of cotton have arrived in local markets by the start of the current month, showing a year-on-year increase of 22.61 per cent, according to the ministry of textile industry.
The cotton exports from the country also registered an upward trend and increased by 11.34 per cent with 724,090 bales of cotton exported.
Punjab’s cotton contribution to the local markets registered an increase of 49.2 per cent while Sindh’s contribution dropped by 30.37 per cent.
