Pic deaths: CCPO told to implement court orders

CCPO to implement the court’s orders over the deaths of more than a hundred people due to tainted drugs.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Arif Hameed Sheikh on Monday directed the capital city police officer (CCPO) to implement the court’s orders on a petition seeking cases against the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) medical superintendent and the health secretary over the deaths of more than a hundred people due to tainted drugs. Previously, the court had directed the Shadman station house officer to record the statement of the petitioner and register a case if made out under law against the officials, but the Shadman station house officer  did not comply with the orders.
