Gas Leakage: Glass factory gutted
A glass factory in Hattar Industrial Estate was gutted when a fire broke out

A glass factory in Hattar Industrial Estate was gutted when a fire broke out on Monday. However no casualties or injuries were reported, the police and factory administration said. Hattar police quoted Ghani Glass Industry’s general manager as saying that a fire broke out due to gas leakage in one of the factory’s units while production was under way. As a result, the raw material in the boiler caught fire that engulfed the entire unit, burning down the building completely. Rescue workers rushed to the scene and doused the fire after a three-hour operation, the police added. The workers, however, managed to escape from the building. The estimated loss is said to be in millions of rupees.
