KARACHI:
National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) defeated Punjab 2-1 to cruise into the semi-finals from Pool A, while Pakistan Customs defeated Sindh 4-1 in Pool B for the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Hockey Tournament.
NBP’s Mohammad Atiq scored the first goal in the 34th minute which was equalised by Punjab’s Waqas Ahmed in the 58th minute. But Wasif Siddiqui’s goal 70th killed off all hopes for Punjab as NBP became the second team after Wapda to book a place in the semi-finals.
Customs bulldoze away
