HARIPUR:

Dictatorship has not only harmed democracy but the very foundations of country and all political parties should unite to rise above the prevailing crisis.

This was said by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar, while speaking to a delegation of the Haripur Press Club, which called on him.

He said the country was passing through its most critical phase, an outcome of dictatorial policies of Gen. (retd) Musharraf. He added that “The adoption of the 18th and 19th amendments is the result of reconciliatory politics.”

He evaded questions on the on the future of the prime minister and democracy.

Replying to a question on the alleged intrusion of the information department and provincial government in the affairs of Haripur press club and creating a parallel body opposing the Hazara province movement, he gave the assurance that he would look into the matter.
