Pakistan lose three chasing 435

Pakistan started chasing a target of 435 to win the first Test after England declared their second innings on 262 for nine on the third day at Trent Bridge on Saturday.

Matt Prior was 102 not out and Steven Finn nine not out after an unbroken last wicket stand of 49.

Asif celebrated his 100th test wicket in 20 matches earlier in the day.

Chasing the target of 435 is already proving to be quite a challenge for Pakistan who are at eleven runs with the loss of three wickets.

Pakistans highest fourth innings record is 315 for nine against Australia in 1994.

The most any side has ever made in the fourth innings to win a Test is the 418 for seven scored by the West Indies against Australia in 2003.
