LAHORE:

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general Abdul Jabbar Shaheen has imposed a ban on political activities in educational institutions being run by Lahore Development Authority under Clause 3(H) of the Punjab Industrial Relations Act 2010.

All academic as well as administrative staff of the schools has been directed to refrain from forming or joining a union or any other action related to it, including casting a vote in a referendum, holding meetings or bringing out processions.

The school staff can, however, contact the LDA administration director, education director or education deputy director, through the head of the respective institution, to seek remedy for any problems faced by him.

Failing to comply with these instructions can result in action against the official concerned under the Punjab Employees Efficiency and Discipline Act 2006.
