LAHORE: A nine-member delegation of senior American journalists visited the Express News headquarters in Lahore on Wednesday.

They said they were impressed by the role Pakistani media had played. They hoped that the Pakistani media would learn from the mistakes US news channels had made. Joe Little, a KGTV 10 News reporter said he was touched by the hospitality of the Pakistanis.

Odette Yousef, a bureau reporter from WBEZ Chicago called the trip “an eye-opener” that had helped in getting rid of preconceived notions.

However, she also added that the 12-day trip was too short to fully appreciate the culture. The journalists were part of an exchange programme US-Pakistan Professional Partnership in Journalism.
