12 killed, 9 injured as speeding bus overturns in Dir

Residents pulled out bodies from river, transferred them along with injured to a nearby hospital.

DIR: At least 12 passengers were killed and nine others sustained injuries when a speeding bus plunged into a river in the Sheringal area of upper Dir on Wednesday, sources said.

The bus was en route from Timergara to Dok Dara when it overturned near Chinarno and fell into the river.

Residents of the area pulled out the bodies from the river and transferred them along with the injured to a nearby hospital.

Sources say that condition of some people who sustained injuries is considered to be critical.
