Examining the system: Primary exams begin Feb 1
EDO said that 261 exam centres for primary and 184 for middle standard exams had been set up

Primary and middle standard examinations will begin from February 1. According to the district coordination officer (DCO) Azmat Mehmood, the EDO (Education) Chaudhry Muhammad Mansha, district officers (DO) Aman Ullah Khan and Syed Mansur Qadir reviewed arrangements for the examinations. Briefing a meeting, the EDO said that 261 exam centres for primary and 184 for middle standard exams had been set up while 20 cluster centres have also been established for both examinations in the district. Mehmood said that nearly 58,198 candidates including 31,344 boys and 26,854 girls would take class 5 exams whereas 41,221 including 23,228 boys and 17,993 girls were expected to participate in the middle standard examinations.
