ISLAMABAD:
Around 25 per cent Pakistanis have thought about starting their own business, revealed a survey conducted by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan.
About 55 per cent respondents of the survey claimed to have put their ideas into practice while 65 per cent never thought about such entrepreneurial activity. Some 10 per cent gave no response.
A detailed analysis of the data shows that proportionately a higher percentage of urbanites (33 per cent) have thought about starting their own businesses compared to their rural counterparts (21 per cent).
The survey data also reveals that more males (38 per cent) have come up with business ideas than females (10 per cent). The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2,707 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during July this year.
