ABBOTABAD: Three shacks were gutted a fire in Jhugian bazaar along Muree Road on Monday. Police said the fire erupted in one of the houses and quickly engulfed two neighbouring abodes, however, the inmates escaped unhurt. One of the owners, Asghar Khan, an Afghan refugee, claimed to have lost over Rs300,000 worth jewellery and other values in the fire. The Tehsil Municipal Authority officials blamed the house owners for constructed houses too close to one another preventing the fire engine from reaching the scene.
