Golf: Shabbir clinches Karachi event
Shabbir won the professional title with a three under par 213.
KARACHI:
Muhammad Shabbir clinched the Chief of Air Staff Open Golf Championship at the PAF Base Golf Course yesterday. Shabbir won the professional title with a three under par 213, while Matloob Ahmed finished second with a 217 followed by Nadeem Inayat with a 220. Meanwhile, Ghulam Nabi won the seniors title with a score of 151, while Asghar Ali and Ghani Khan finished joint second. The four-day championship held over 18 holes started on January 26 and featured 300 golfers in different events, including professionals, amateurs, veterans and senior/junior ladies.
