BDS: 66% pass annual exams

As many as 304 of 459 people who sat the third professional bachelors of dental surgery (BDS) annual examination this year were declared successful on Saturday. While 153 people failed the exam, results of two were late.


Moiza Ijaz of Margalla Institute of Health Sciences, Rawalpindi, got first position with 736 marks out of 900. Maira Mubasher of Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore, and Abeer Aziz of Margalla Institute of Health Sciences, Rawalpindi, stood second and third with 719 and 714 marks, respectively.

The pass percentages of top dental colleges are: Dental Section, Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad 79.17 percent; Multan Medical and Dental College, Multan, 77.78 percent; Combined Military Hospital Medical College Lahore 72.73 percent; Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore, 72.34 percent; De’Montmorency College of Dentistry Lahore 71.13 percent; Margalla Institute of Health Sciences and Rawalpindi, 67.31 percent.
