A murder accused has been awarded a death sentence and fined Rs100,000 in a murder case that took place on November, 2005.
According to the prosecution, after completion of court hearings, Kasur District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Humayun Imtiaz announced the decision on Friday. It was proven that Mustafabad resident Habib gunned down Hafiz Mohammad Ameen in 2005 when the accused asked Ameen to give up his alleged affair with Habib’s wife. Habib shot and killed Ameen. The convict will have to undergo an additional 6 month sentence in case of non-payment of the fine.
