The Khanpur police claimed to have seized a huge quantity of dynamite and arrested two alleged smugglers on Friday. Acting on a tip-off, the police stopped a car (AB-131) near Garhi Syedan village and seized 1,760 sticks of dynamite upon inspection.
Police sources said the dynamite was being smuggled to Punjab, where it was used in quarrying for crush. The police also arrested two persons, who have been identified as Syed Hanif Shah and Nasar Abbas. A case has been registered against the suspects.
