Tabish, Sami decimate Balochistan
Duo power Sindh to innings’ victory in Pentangular Cup.
Sindh beat Balochistan by an innings and 114 runs on the third day of their Pentangular Cup clash held at the National Stadium, Karachi, according to information provided by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Trailing Sindh by 323 runs, Balochistan could only manage 209 before being bowled out in the 43rd over of their second-innings. Zain Abbas (85) and Naveed Yasin (49) provided some resistance but the effort was not enough.
Sindh’s Tabish Khan picked up four wickets, while Mohammad Sami also bagged three for a seven-wicket haul in the match.
Elsewhere, Punjab secured a first-innings lead of 115 against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on day two of their match underway at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Resuming on their overnight score of 95 for one, Punjab were indebted to Shoaib Malik for a stellar performance. The former Pakistan captain made 112 in an innings laced with 15 boundaries. Usman Salahuddin (72*) and Ahmed Shehzad (68) also made useful contributions.
