Malik said that he will file a request for a 'contempt of court' notice against the chief minister.
Shahbaz Sharif, on Thursday, said that he will take personal responsibility of providing complete security to Ijaz during his visit to Pakistan.
He said that he will welcome Ijaz and will provide him security till the last moment he is in Pakistan, and also offered the judicial commission probing the controversial memo to come to the province to record Ijaz’s statements.
In response to Shahbaz's statements, Rehman Malik also said that the 'cat is out of the bag' now and that it was clear why Nawaz Sharif went to court for the Mansoor Ijaz case.

What happened to Mr. Ijaz, he no longer talking all day and night,
Malik is wrong. Contempt of court is only applicable for elected govt officials with constitutional immunity. Contempt is not for rightwing leaders, and generals.
@American Muse: yes my friend this is called 'management by chaos' - create so much chaos that every one should forget what is really happening, or better yet - what was the original issue.
Oh really? :D
Mr. Malik should be concentrating on reducing crime and improving security for the people. And since when did he become a lawyer ?
Cat is out of the bag...Robert..lol! Rehman Malik Tousie too much ho jinab
Mr. malik let the Mansoor come to Pakistan and allow him to say what he wants, dont be afraid as you said earlier that Haqqani is accused of the crime which he has never committed. Moreover, Mr. malik mansorr's security had to be your job but due to un-neccesary threats the Witnessed backed off and the story is still not concealed.
Too clever by half, these Pakistanis! A simple and straightforward issue of testifying before a court has been convoluted and twisted beyond recognition. Is this how the country works?
How is Sharif's statement in contempt of court?? Think Baba Malik has lost the plot. Should revert back to watching Star Wars.
Mr. Malik, please grow up, and why cant you and your bunch alike realize that you are public servant, therefore is accountable to any Pakistani. So he just offered, and acceptance is SC's right, not yours. You have been shrugging MI away with your threats, and knowing you, and your antics, no one will trust his life under your security. MI in a way is right for not trusting you, as what have you done, while 4500 karachittes dies in the last 4 years.
Here is the Malik who was missing. He has again made himself a laughing-stock
Punjab's Luhar CM should worry about 104 people who lost thier lives cause of fake faulty medicine. Last summer that witnessed over 400 deaths of innocent people through mismanagement of dengue, the Punjab government continued to show its complete lack of governance by letting the spurious medicines kill another hundred people and perhaps more. “In fact there are reports that politics and corruption both played a part in the choice of these substandard medicines.Luhar CM was now blaming the federal government for this tragedy, why theSHABAZ not played his opposition role properly if he thought that the registration of drugs was faulty. “Why is it that only after the death of 100 people does he come up with this allegation.Shahbaz Sharif should resign in conformity with democratic traditions.
Some body ask this gentlemen that when the government was planning to put Mr Mansoor Ejaz arrest and placing him in ECL wasn't he going against the commission and blackmailing Mr Mansoor Ejaz on live channel... The words and the sweat shown by government on his coming to Pakistan shows that there is some thing that the witness has hard against the SO CALLED DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT plotting against the people who voted for them......
