Offset is facing accusations of assault after an altercation with a security guard at a Los Angeles weed dispensary on Thursday night (March 13).

The incident, which took place at MedMen LAX, reportedly began when the rapper was unable to present his ID, leading to a heated argument with a guard.

According to TMZ, Offset’s representatives have denied the claim that he didn’t have ID, stating that he had just gotten off a flight, which requires identification to board.

The reps explained that Offset was in the process of retrieving his ID when the security guard allegedly began “aggressively rushing him” and even “hawking spit in his face.” This provoked a response from Offset and his crew, who reportedly pushed back.

As more security personnel from MedMen got involved, the situation escalated, with Offset allegedly punching the first guard. In retaliation, the guard reportedly sprayed mace at Offset and those with him.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, but by the time they arrived, Offset had already left. The security guard was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and it is believed he has pressed charges against the rapper. The extent of his injuries remains unknown.

In other news, Offset made headlines earlier this month with the announcement that he will be performing in Russia in April, despite Universal Music Group’s decision to pull all its operations out of the country in response to the invasion of Ukraine. Offset recently shared on his Instagram Story that he would be performing at Moscow’s MTC Live Hall on April 18.

This show is drawing attention due to UMG’s 2022 decision to suspend all operations in Russia following international sanctions imposed after the country’s invasion of Ukraine. At the time, UMG stated, “We urge an end to the violence in Ukraine as soon as possible,” emphasizing its support for humanitarian efforts in the region.

Tickets for Offset's Moscow performance are available, with prices ranging from 5,200 to 45,000 rubles.
