Lee Najjar, a real estate investor widely known to The Real Housewives of Atlanta audience as “Big Poppa,” has died at the age of 68.

The news was confirmed by his daughter Katelin Najjar, who shared a tribute on social media, according to The U.S. Sun.

Najjar was closely associated with the early seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta through his relationship with cast member Kim Zolciak. Although he never appeared on the Bravo reality series, he was frequently referenced as Zolciak’s mystery partner, becoming a notable off-screen figure in the show’s storyline.

Reports indicate that Najjar passed away on Saturday, though the cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. He is survived by his children, including Katelin and Jeremy Najjar.

Najjar and Zolciak were romantically involved during the late 2000s, with their relationship becoming a recurring topic on the series. At the time, Najjar was reportedly married, which added to the public attention surrounding their connection. The couple eventually parted ways in 2009.

Following their split, Zolciak moved on and later married former NFL player Kroy Biermann in 2011. The pair share four children together, while Zolciak also has two daughters from a previous relationship.

Najjar’s association with The Real Housewives of Atlanta contributed to his recognition among fans of the long-running reality show, despite his limited on-screen presence.

His passing has prompted reactions from viewers familiar with the series’ early years, where his nickname “Big Poppa” became widely known within the franchise’s cultural footprint.
