Uplift: Gymkhana Club to get a facelift
To build a swimming pool, gymnasium, squash court, tennis court, a coffee lounge and residential suits.

The city district government on Thursday decided to renovate and add multiple facilities to Gymkhana Club (GKC). Work on the project will be started in March. In a meeting of the management of GKC, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar said the City District Government Rawalpindi has decided to build a swimming pool, gymnasium, squash court, tennis court, a coffee lounge and residential suits. The DCO said that in the meeting of the management committee, they had shortlisted 10 out of 29 contractors for filing tenders for the project. “We have informed the selected companies that they can file tender documents from February 3 to 5 for the project after getting forms from the district government,” said Zafar. He added the tenders would be opened on February 22 in the presence of the representatives of these companies.
