30 bodies handed over to families in Karachi

The bodies of 30 people, who died in a plane crash in Islamabad, have been handed over to their families in Karachi.

The bodies of 30 people, who died in a plane crash in Islamabad, have been handed over to their families in Karachi on Friday. The bodies were moved to Karachi through private and PIA airplanes.

Meanwhile, a search operation is underway to find the black box of the Airblue plane that crashed into Margalla Hills on Wednesday.


Talking to media outside the Parliament House, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that 95 bodies have been identified while 78 bodies have already been handed over to the families.

About the investigation process, Malik appealed to the media to stop speculating about the plane crash as it can have serious affects on the investigations.

Commenting on the recent floods, the minister said seven helicopters have been dispatched to Khyber-Pukhtukhwa for the rescue operation.
