Cricket: Kohli shows teammates how it’s done
Australia ahead by 382 runs in final Test after India fold again.

Australia took a 382-run lead after dismissing India cheaply and opting to bat again on the third day of the fourth Test.
Virat Kohli hit his maiden Test century and India’s first of the series with a defiant 116 as the tourists, facing a series washout, mustered 272 in reply to Australia’s imposing 604 for seven declared.At stumps, Australia were 50 for three.
Earlier, Kohli showed India’s garlanded senior batsmen how it should be done by scoring a plucky maiden century in his eighth Test. He was almost run out on 99 as he frantically searched for the clinching run to raise triple figures and had to be restrained by Ricky Ponting after comments were exchanged with other Australia players.
“Ben Hilfenhaus said something to me that was totally unnecessary, he wasn’t even bowling or anything,” said Kohli.
“I survived and he said something I can’t repeat, I gave it back to him. Then Ishant Sharma and I both started saying stuff and they got really pissed, I guess. I like to play my cricket like that. I like to give it back.”
Peter Siddle, who claimed a five-for including the prized scalps of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, played down talk of ‘banter’.
