Disarmament Conference: Pakistan supports balanced approach

Pakistan clarified that the Conference on Disarmament should have a balanced approach.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday clarified that the Conference on Disarmament should have a balanced approach and pursue all the items on its agenda according to the principle of equal and undiminished security for all states. The foreign office spokesman, while commenting on news reports concerning the current impasse in the Conference on Disarmament (CD), said, “Pakistan attached immense importance to the work of the CD as the sole multilateral forum for arms control and disarmament negotiations.”
