Extracurricular activity: Rising to new heights of oration, art
Students showcase oratory and creative skill on the second day of inter-college competition.
ISLAMABAD:
Students were pumped up for another round of the inter-college talented students competition here at the Model College for Girls Postgraduate F-7/4 on Wednesday.
They proved their mettle in debate and poster-making contests.
As many 14 colleges participated in the competitions. For the debates, the jury comprised professors Masood Ahmad, Mahmood Gillani and Jawad Hasan. The topic of the debate was “Are we a patriotic nation?”
TV anchor Asma Chaudhry, the chief guest, said, “Women are as talented as men and they have proved their talent in every field, whether they are working in media, legal or education sector.”
She added that women should be encouraged to come forward and utilise their potential for the betterment of society.
