ISLAMABAD:
Non-medical and medical staff members of the federal hospitals continued their strike into the fourth week on Tuesday. Addressing the protesters, Joint Action Committee Chairman Manzar Abbas Naqvi said the majority of the staff members are in favour of old service and pay structure. He demanded that the government announce health risk allowance for them. He called for revision in the new service structure and early implementation of Basic Pay Scale system in federal hospitals. Due to boycott from the outpatients department and other departments, medical practitioners in Polyclinic and NIRM were unable to receive and treat patients.
