Presidency: India takes over SAARC Chamber
A 70-member Pakistan delegation was also present.

The presidency of the Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry, after remaining with Bangladesh for the stipulated period of two years, has moved to India for the term 2012-13. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, member of national executive committee of the Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), took over the presidency from Bangladesh’s Annisul Huq on Monday, says a press release. In this regard, a ceremony was held in conjunction with the Saarc Business Summit in New Delhi. A 70-member Pakistan delegation was also present. Speaking on the occasion, the newly elected president showed a firm commitment to continue the work of his predecessor and foster economic cooperation in the region.
