Recruitment process: CEOs’ appointments stayed

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday stopped the federal government from appointing the chief executive officer (CEO) to the Lahore and Faisalabad Electric Supply Companies, in a petition challenging the appointments. The court sought replies from respondents on February 14. The court, however, allowed the government to continue with the selection process. Engineer Ghazanfar Ali Khan and five others have challenged the recruitment of CEOs and have requested the court to direct the companies to fill the posts by promoting eligible senior employees.
