Pro-us ‘slur’: Ahl-i-Sunnat official to sue bosses’
Two officials saying that they had suspended Gilani from the Jamaat and the Sunni Tehreek for staging the rally.

The naib nazim of Jamaat Ahl-i-Sunnat Pakistan (JASP) has sent a legal notice to the nazim-i-aala and ameer of the Jamaat threatening to sue them if they do not withdraw accusations that he took American money to stage an anti-Taliban rally in Islamabad no August 14, 2009. JASP Naib Nazim Safdar Shah Gilani sent a notice to Ameer Mazhar Saeed Kazmi and Nazim-i-Aala Riaz Hussain Shah warning that they had 15 days to withdraw their statements or face legal action. Newspaper reports of January 21, 2012, contain statements from the two officials saying that they had suspended Gilani from the Jamaat and the Sunni Tehreek for staging the rally.
