The Khanewal jungle has been destroyed due to the negligence of the government, say residents. Local residents told reporters that there had been several incidents of illegal hunting as well as felling of trees. The jungle in Pirowal has been reduced to 40 kilometres, said one. “Under the law, woodcutting and hunting are strictly forbidden in the jungle premises,” said Pirowal resident Mazhar Saeed.
