Aisam, Boppana cruise in Farmers Classic

Pakistan’s tennis number one Aisamul Haq and India’s Rohan Bopanna outclassed the top British pair.

Pakistan’s tennis number one Aisamul Haq and India’s Rohan Bopanna outclassed the top British pair of Colin Fleming and Ken Skupski 6-7 (3), 6-0, 10-7 in the Farmers Classic ATP Championship taking place in Los Angeles.

The first set was a closely contested one, where Aisam and Rohan managed to claim two break points, but were unable to convert them and then lost the tie break succumbing to Skupski’s powerful serve.

The duo then fought back to lift their game as the second set saw Aisam return more than 90 per cent of the serves, most of them being winners. They broke the British pair repeatedly before clinching the second set and sealed the win by maintaining their spectacular momentum.

Aisam and Bopanna will now face Arnaud Clement and Jonathan Erlich in the quarter-final of the Farmers Classic.
