LAHORE:

The hearing of the Sapna Khan case was adjourned on Friday until January 23 because the judge hearing the case was on leave.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Nazeer Ahmed is hearing the petition filed by Missal Khan who has asked that a copy of the FIR – registered against former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa and his accomplices for being involved in the abduction and murder of Sapna Khan – be submitted in court.

In earlier proceedings, the court had asked the Race Course station house officer to submit a detailed report and para-wise comments. No report has been submitted so far. Petitioner Missal Khan says that police officials had told him that an FIR had been registered but was sealed. He says that under law the respondents  are bound to provide him with a copy of the FIR.
