Snooker: Punjab dominate junior event
Sindh’s Khizar Aziz and Shahzaib Khan, while K-P's Aakash Rafiq filled up the remaining slots in the last-eight.

Punjab cueists dominated proceedings at the New Jubilee Insurance Pakistan National Junior Under-21 Snooker Championship 2012 with five of its cueists – Ali Dar, Mohammad Majid, Hamid Younis, Mian Qaiser and Hunain Aamir – booking a place in the quarter-finals that start today. Sindh’s Khizar Aziz and Shahzaib Khan, while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Aakash Rafiq filled up the remaining slots in the last-eight. Younis defeated Hammadur Rehman 3-0, Qaiser outplayed Murtaza Iqbal Jaqnavi 3-2, Aamir outclassed Ghavish Khan 3-0 and Aziz defeated Asad Zubair 3-0.
