The highway was partially reopened for stranded vehicles from Jammu to Srinagar on January 17 after remaining closed for three days.
More than 600 trucks, carrying essential goods were stranded at different places on the highway, reached Kashmir valley last evening.
The authorities had decided to allow trucks and oil tankers from Jammu to Srinagar today.
However, the highway, linking the Valley with the rest of the world, was once again closed following fresh snowfall at Qaigund, Jawhar tunnel, Banihal and Patnitop areas.
The report added that Ramban area on the highway was lashed by heavy rains as well.
