Punjab Arts Council (PAC) hosted a photo exhibition on the theme of Indian atrocities being committed in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Kashmir Black Day.
In addition to photos depicting the violence inflicted upon citizens of the occupied territory, a documentary showcasing their plight and suffering under the Indian regime was also screened at the exhibition.
Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture, Shazia Rizwan, inaugurated the exhibition. The ceremony was attended by PAC Director Sajjad Hussain, Assistant Director Muhammad Suleman, Assistant Director Sarfaraz Khan and other distinguished guests.
While addressing the participants of the exhibition, Shazia Rizwan said, "Every child in Pakistan stands with the people of Kashmir. Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiris' struggle for freedom on political and international fronts until the end of India's illegal occupation."
She further said, "There is pain in the eyes of the Kashmiris. The international community must address this pain and the sufferings of Kashmiris, as global peace remains incomplete without the liberation of occupied Kashmir. I pray for an end to the brutal occupation soon with Allah's mercy."
Director Sajjad Hussain said that October 27 marks the tragic day that the oppressive Indian occupation took over Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. "Black Kashmir Day tells the story of India's illegal occupation and long struggle for freedom of Kashmiri people. Today, 77 years have passed since the illegal occupation. For seven decades, Kashmiri people have been making sacrifices for freedom, justice and their right to self-determination. As a Pakistani, I salute the eternal struggle of Kashmiri brothers and sisters," he added.
A large number of people from the twin cities visited the photo exhibition.
