Hesco’s warning: Action will be taken against dues, power theft

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) chief executive officer, Muzaffar Abbassi, has strictly directed the officers to launch a crackdown for recovery of dues and against power theft.
In a meeting at WAPDA Office on Wednesday, the HESCO chief ordered FIR registrations against those who indulge in power theft.
He told the meeting that HESCO owes arrears of Rs24.6 billion to government departments and Rs11.95 billion to the private consumers.
