Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani said that negotiations were underway with the political allies over bringing an amended form of the commissionerate system in Sindh.
He was speaking to the media after offering condolences to the family of the late MPA Mohsin Shah Bukhari, in Tando Muhammad Khan on Wednesday. Durrani said that the commissionerate system in Sindh was enforced in consultation with the coalition partners.”
The partners have a disagreement on certain provisions of the system,” he said. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s government wants to enforce a system which was mutually acceptable to all the stakeholders.
He said the government respects the judiciary and does not want confrontation with any institution of the government. “The conspiracies are not against the PPP but the people’s mandate which brought the party to power,” he said.
