Cricket: Struggling Sri Lanka under scrutiny

Sri Lankan Minister for Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage has asked the newly elected cricket administration of the country to look into the causes and factors responsible for the national team’s dismal performance. According to a press release from the ministry, Aluthgamage has directed the administration to submit a report in a week’s time. Informed sources at the ministry said that Upali Dharmasada, the newly elected president of Sri Lanka Cricket, has also been asked to recommend ‘short- and long-term measures to resurrect the dwindling fortunes of the national side’.
