Hockey: NBP ease into junior event semis
NBP defeated PHF Academy 2-0 to qualify for the semi-finals of the 31st National Junior Hockey Championship.
LAHORE:
NBP defeated PHF Academy 2-0 to qualify for the semi-finals of the 31st National Junior Hockey Championship being held at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. Mohammad Kashif scored both goals for the victors. In other group matches, Wapda beat Punjab Whites 3-1 and Punjab Colours overcame SSGC 2-0 to secure berths in the event’s last-four. Despite the loss, SSGC also progressed to the semi-finals ahead of Army, whose 3-0 defeat of Railways in the final group fixture went in vain. Wapda face SSGC and NBP take on Punjab Colours in the semi-finals tomorrow.
