An Afghan watchman died of gas suffocation in an under-construction house
HARIPUR:
An Afghan watchman died of gas suffocation in an under-construction house on Monday night. Police and family sources said Azizul Haq, a resident of Afghan Camp No 6, was serving as a watchman at an under-construction house in Mohalla New Sabzi Mandi. Haq fell asleep on duty with the gas heater on, but due to an interruption in the gas supply some time in the night, the heater turned off. When the gas supply was resumed, it caused Haq to suffocate, said a doctor. Haq used to work two jobs to support his family, working as fruit vendor during the day and a watchman at night, family sources said.
