President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Muzammal Sultan said that Arfa Karim Randhawa was a national asset for Pakistan. “The government should change the name of Ramdewali as Arfa Abad in recognition of her genius and her talent,” he said.
In a condolence message, the FCCI Chief said that children like Arfa were not born daily. “She had god-given talent and an extraordinary mind. To have such command over computer sciences at such a young age and to be recognised by Microsoft is an international achievement,” he added. “I only wish that she could have enjoyed the fruits of her success but the entire country mourns her today,” he said. “She did some amazing things for the betterment of this nation at such a young age that most people do not manage in a lifetime,” he said. Sultan called for the government to change the name of Arfa’s local village from Ramdewali to Arfa Abad to commemorate her achievements.
