Cricket: SBP cruise into event quarters
Defeated Bank Al-Baraka by nine wickets.
SBP defeated Bank Al-Baraka by nine wickets to go through to the quarter-finals of the 10th Governor’s Cup Inter-bank Cricket Tournament. SBP’s bowlers restricted their opponents to 100 for seven from 20 overs before Ehsan Ali’s 58 ensured a comfortable win. Dubai Islamic Bank also secured a last-eight berth after beating NBP by four wickets. The other teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals are NBP, HBL, UBL, SCB, Faysal Bank and Bank Islami.
