Free medical camp: Over 1,000 screened
A large number of patients with eye diseases were examined and free cataract operations were carried out.

More than 1,000 people were screened at a free-of-charge medical camp set up here on Sunday. A large number of patients with eye diseases were examined and free cataract operations were carried out. Free eyeglasses were also provided to the patients. Screening for hepatitis was also done, and free medicines were distribution to people with various diseases. Around 3,000 patients visited the camp and screening of 1,000 people was conducted, while 700 people had eyesight checkups. As many as 500 people were given optical glasses and 100 persons were referred for eye surgeries.
