Sindh’s health secretary asked the medical superintendent of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana to submit a report on why the dialysis and lithotripsy department is not working. The report is due in a week. The secretary was acting on a letter written by the ex-federal minister, MNA Shahid Hussain Bhutto, who complained of the conditions. Because the dialysis and lithotripsy machines are not working, patients have to go to Sukkur, Gambat, Karachi or Hyderabad.
