Senior Supreme Court advocate Khwaja Sultan Ahmad passed away on Saturday. He was laid to rest at Miani Sahib graveyard. He had been admitted to Ittefaq Hospital on December 29. He was 82. The deceased was father of former Punjab advocate general Khwaja Haris Ahmad and Waqas Ahmad Khwaja. The qul will be held at 148 A, Block M, Gulberg III. During his 60-year law career, Ahmad had represented many leading politicians and noted personalities in high-profile cases. Ahmad was former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s counsel in the plane hijacking case.
