Jail Break: 2 murder accused flee from van
The van was supposed to take them to Chiniot for a court hearing.

Two murder accused fled from the district jail in the van which was supposed to take them to Chiniot for a court hearing.
According to police officials, the jail van was carrying the prisoners back to jail from the court on Friday evening when two murder accused Maqsood alias Soodi and Nasir Mirza cut the floor of the van and fled.
Police line Jhang Inspector Umer Hayat was headed to jhang in his private car when he heard about the prisoners’ escape. Hayat pursued the jail van and succeeded in stopping it near Chenab College but two of the prisoners had already escaped. “We prevented the third from getting away and we are questioning him about where his accomplices have gone,” he said. When the van stopped the third accused tried to escape but Inspector Umer Hayat arrested him. Bhowana and Jhang police stations have been debating which precinct is responsible for conducting further inquiry into the matter but 3 police teams are searching for the accused.
